Applications called for Open Competitive Examination to recruit Graduates under
28 years of age as at 11.09.2009, which is also closing date for appplications,
on the Government Gazette of 16.10.2009.

On the same gazette, applications called for the competitive exam to recruit for
Public Management Assistants Service (PMAS), formerly known as General Clerical
Service. Advanced Level qualified persons can apply for this examination.
Closing date is 15.11.2009.

There is an acute shortage of Muslim SLAS officers in our region. Therefore,
please encourage eligible candidates to apply and prepare for this examination.

Further, PMAS is an entry level service for people to join the public service.
With a degree and five years service completed in Public service, officers who
obviously confirmed in service, are eligible to apply for all limited
competitive exams to recruit SLAS, SLFS, Tax Officers, Customs Officers, etc.

There is an overall low rate of Muslim Public Servants at higher level is common
in our region, except the Teaching / Education sector.

So, Interested people can apply for this examination also.

Government Gazette of 16.10.2009 is uploaded to the file section of our Yahoo

Application forms should be available in leading communication shops either in
Kattankudi or Batticaloa.
